Benefit Auction for Rob Thompson and
Annual Open House
October 13th, 2009
Our friend Rob was involved in a very serious auto accident, and because of his tremendous courage and dedication, he is improving weekly. He has an amazing support team that we are honored to be a part of, and we invite you to help him continue on his way.
Here’s how!
Donate an item or service for our silent auction.
Bid for items or services that appeal to you. The items will be open for bidding the day before the event, and you will be able to email your bid or place it in person at the office. Bidding will close at the actual event, so if there is an item you simply must have, be sure to join us! A light (mostly organic) dinner buffet will be served.
100% of the proceeds will go towards Rob’s extensive therapy costs.
Sneak preview of items already donated:
Hula show at your house/event. 20-30 minutes show with Leilani Fernandez’ Hula Halau Ko ‘Olina.
Authentic Tuscan dinner for 6 delivered to you.
Holiday party help. Help with setup, serving, and/or cleanup at your dinner party or event.
Multiple hands water therapy session with Myofascial Therapy Center staff.
Private kayak tour for two at Elkhorn Slough
And more!

Location:

Come Lead the Way...
Voices for Health Reform: Join Congress members Lofgren and Honda!
Community Action Meeting to make sure health care reform benefits all of our families!
Our communities are feeling the pain of the current health care system.
Come stand with our elected officials to take action on Health Care! Our communities demand affordable, equitable, quality health care!
US Congressional Representatives Zoe Lofgren and Mike Honda are coming to Shir Hadash to explain upcoming legislation and to learn about health care in our community.
In June, a health care reform bill will come before Congress for a vote and they are leaders on this issue. We have an opportunity for significant changes on the national level but our representatives need to know our community cares about making health care accessible and affordable. We need 400 people to fill the Shir Hadash sanctuary on May 27. Can we count on your support and presence at this meeting? RSVP your commitment to come to rabbiaron@shirhadash.org.
Organized by:
Congregation Shir Hadash
La Trinidad United Methodist
Leaders from First Congregational Church, San Jose
Leaders from Westminster Presbyterian
